48" x 60” 2020 Oil on Board
This is the first in a series of paintings I hope to do as I live thru this historic COVID-19 Pandemic.

U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May created a new position- Minister of Loneliness- in 2018, tasked with addressing “the sad reality of modern life”.
A 2010 survey suggested more than a third of American citizens over the age of 45 feel lonely.
Then the Pandemic struck, blindsiding us like a meteor, causing devastation to the entire planet.
The gun represents the gun sales that spiked in April- up 71% from the previous year. The roll of toilet paper represents the hoarding of paper and cleaning supplies as well as hand sanitizers and masks.
Y2K, 9-11 and Covid-19 are the three cataclysmic events of my lifetime- both real and imagined.
