Oceanic Oil

This painting addresses two examples of man's harmful effect on our oceans. 

The amount of oil that seeps out of rusty, old tankers amounts to more annual oil spillage than that which  was discharged from the BP DeepWater Horizon in 2010.

Above average sea water temperatures caused by global warming have been identified as a leading cause of increased coral bleaching worldwide.
